Wizards of Weather

Today I had my 3rd day of science camp. We learned about static electricity. Static electricity is like on a rainy day a lot of the humidity is the static electricity. We did an activity on static electricity. We got a black rod and a red rod. We got a wool cloth and a silk cloth and charged up the rods by rubbing one of the two cloths on the rods. We got to try out the static electricity in the rod by pouring salt on a sheet of paper moving it. Same with pepper, string, and packing puffs. My group went to the I-max and saw Storm chasers. The movie talked about natural disasters. Here are some examples of natural disasters, Tornado, Hurricanes, Volcano Eruptions, Earthquakes, and Tsunami's.
