On day 3 they went to a firehouse, a control center, a launch tower, they went to see remains from a prototype escape pod for the astronauts if something goes wrong, and had some people from a NASA balloon center talk to the kids. There Matthew found out about Joseph Kittenger who is the man who holds the record for the highest skydive. They also found out about their friend who wants to go into the air force was afraid of heights.
